We are back from vacation, hello job, home and beads. Ah, Italy, Italy what do you do for craft minded person! These colors, this glass... Oh, Murano glass, stained glass, crystal, and  shapes, colors and these combinations. I may understand why italian people are so artistic, the surroundings are just requiring!
I promiced myself to do something with Murano beads and I definetely will.
For now, I'll just post something that I did from lovely freshwater pearls. I did it for my customer from her pearls, but I personally liked how it came out and this is one from :"To do for myself too" list.

Yes, I did it!

Right now I gave the finished piece to my customer, heard the compliments and almost closed the order for new two-hole necklace.

I almost never name my works, but looking on this one, the name of "Moroccan opulence" just popped into my mind. This is strange, I used my favorite subdued colors, tried to restrict myself with using different colors, but the result came out very regal looking. I hope the M. will be the star on her special evening with family.

As a special reward it came out that the pendant is double sided.

I want to use the time when I wait for my reaction to finish and remember few other things that I did.

First necklace has a solid classic but happy look, actually it was very simple to make.

The base made with 6 mm pearls with RAW, decorated by 4 mm of pink and half gold fire-polished and then I did fringe the base with fresh water pearls.

Second necklace I did for the nice and very petite women. She brought me her smoked pink pearls, it was nice just to touch them. Usually, I talk with everybody to get an impression about the person, to understand its preferences. D. preferred "organized look", similar to shop bought jewelry. So, very organized small squares were my answer. This is another necklace that I promised for myself.

The third one was a combination of these pearl stars. I think that it came out just great, I almost cried when I had to cut it, because my customer wanted triangles necklace. Usually my customers are nice people, but this one was… uff!

No amount of explanations, compliments from her friends had any effect.

 







New day, but still that humid hot weather that we here just have to endure for the rest of week. Now I feel really jealous to the people of North Europe, I'll take cold rain for the humid blanket that sits on us now.  In this mood, it just nice to remember the pearly things that I did this winter.                                                             

  

These triangles were very popular; I made at least four of them in different combinations. Although, I was very stupid and didn't photo all of them, thought that I'll definitely remember the color combinations, the way I joined the elements, everything. Of course I don't.  

These triangles were from the "every day, good for everything" series, which I personally prefer. I love the jewelry sets that may be used with almost every outfit. I always promise myself to make something similar for myself one day.

I never experienced a horror from the white blank page, but now I do. Yes, I did it! Now it is not so blank already.

How do people start their blog? I did Google it but got only advices of how it is great to have a blog, what could you do with blog (even money! I've read) but how person actually come and start the blog, probably you have to figure out alone.

So, let me just consider what for I started this journey in the blogging word?

1.       English isn't my mother tongue, so writing in it will let me practice more and, perhaps, improve it.

2.       I will document my small discoveries in my beading fantasies and in other fields as well for myself. May be, just may be it will be interesting for somebody else.

3.       My customers always ask me about my site, to see and get impression about my style. Although, I don't always do things according "my style", but try to feel and get the "person's style", which is more challenging, I think.

I started beading pretty long ago, but it was more of the stringing different combination of beads. I've got few interesting effects, but somehow I felt, that other staff like mosaics is more fulfilling.

Then, once I did simple bead weaving necklace with shining blue beads and one woman in my work look at me in wonder , lavished me with price and said , oh, magic words: Could you do something similar for me to buy it?

I was so nicely shocked and surprised; do I really do something in the quality to sale it?

My lovely sister and loving hubby always gave compliments to my creations, but it was difficult for me to believe to the compliments from the family, may be they just love me?!

From the moment somebody wanted to buy, the "beading fantasies" have started.

That great person from my work brought me her friends that become my customers too.

Almost all of them brought that water fresh pearls, some in better other in worst condition and ask me to make something out of it. So, almost an year I did everything from this kind of pearl.
